I just tested this. I do not have a problem when ASpell is not 
installed. PMMail starts, and it uses the old PMMail 2.x spell 
checker.

But that isn't happening. It should make no difference, but it is not

You can also use relative directory, with no drive letter, IF, and only 
IF, PMMail is on your UNIXROOT drive.
