Latches Lane, Merion, PA *** MARCH FEATURE PRESENTATION *** -- HOW TO USE PARTITION MAGIC 5.0 WITH OS/2 -- Are you tired of reinstalling all your operating systems when you get a new larger hard drive? If XCOPY *.* /H /O /T /S /E /R /V is too time-consuming these days, then come to the Philadelphia OS/2 SIG meeting on March 22nd. SIG member (and OS/2 guru) Jim Nuytens will conduct a presentation and demo of Partition Magic 5.0. Despite all the (mis)information which has been circulated around the OS/2 newsgroups, PM 5.0 does work with OS/2. Jim will demonstrate how to copy, move and resize your partitions and clone whole drives. If time permits, Jim will also discuss 1 or 2 other options for copying/cloning whole drives, like Drive Copy and Norton Ghost. If you need a hard drive cloned, bring them both along. Jim will use two of his own drives to do his demo. He has also offered to get your new drive cloned for you in minutes instead of hours. A brief descriptive announcement will also be made in regard to a Build-a-Thon II (build-your-own) group project which is being planned for the May and June meetings during this coming spring. Other agenda items include SIG business matters, OS/2 news, new software releases, Q&A session, software raffle, etc. An OS/2 system will be on hand for demos of OS/2, Java, Internet, etc., as time permits. Free light refreshments will also be available. Mark the date and time: Wednesday, March 22nd, at 7:00pm, to hear about all the new and exciting developments, or if you have questions about OS/2 Warp and Java. OS/2 SIG meetings are open and free for OS/2 users, their guests and all others interested in learning about OS/2 and associated Java technology.
