La Palma Ave. He's B-A-A-A-C-K! And Wait 'Til You See The Warp Client That He Has For Us! Kim Cheung, the OS/2 magician of a thousand faces, is back to wow SCOUG members once again. Kim, known for his telephony magic and his brilliant WiseManager (http://www.serenity-systems.com) line of products, has promised us some surprises. As we all know, Kim never disappoints. This meeting will be no different, as Kim has promised a look at what a new remote-boot Warp client might look like. This client was created by Serenity Systems based on Warp Server for e-Business. He's also alluded to a few other major, first-time looks at some additional client environments that can be remote-booted using WiseManager, but that's all we can say for now. After the presentation, we'll have Q&A to help you with your questions & problems, and then a raffle. After a short break, then the Saturday SIG meetings: General Interest Group: This month, we will go step-by-step through adding the Maintenance Partition that was started at last month's meeting. Also, Terry Warren has indicated that he will demonstrate the latest beta of NetZero for OS/2. Programming SIG: Will continue its' discussion of a SIG project. We'll review the list of candidates and the tools necessary for the project. Monday, April 17, 7 PM PDT meetings at Eastside Christian Schools (Heritage Campus): Got problems with your system? Volunteers at the OS/2 Help Desk will help you solve them. Bring your system and all related hardware and software along with a detailed explanation of your problem. The Networking SIG will be meeting at the same time/place as the Help Desk in the new computer lab. This month they will configure the WiseManager OS/2 clients and the school's Windows NT systems to use the InJoy firewall product that we successfully installed last month. Performance tuning will also be done. Thursday, April 20, 7 PM PDT meeting at Eastside Christian Schools (Heritage Campus): The Sundial SIG will meet in the computer lab.
