This toolkit has been ported to other platforms already, but Scitech will have to take on the task of porting it to OS/2 themselves. This will result in LONG delays waiting for the GUI controls which are badly needed in SDD for OS/2. You can help!! Here's what Kendall Bennett said on the topic: "We are using a cross platform GUI toolkit (wxWindows) to build the control panel utilities, and the Windows and Linux versions of this stuff will be ready long before the OS/2 ones. The reason is that the OS/2 version of wxWindows is still not ready yet. If anyone wants to help make this happen quicker, sign up to help out with the OS/2 port of wxWindows ;-) We will of course be helping with the wxWindows OS/2 port ourselves, once our control panel is completed for Windows." If you wish to help them out and help expedite the arrival of these GUI controls in SDD, pop over to http://www.wxwindows.org/ and ask them if you can lend a hand porting their library to OS/2. ------------------------------------------------------- To subscribe, unsubscribe, or for more information on WarpCast, visit: http://www.warpcast.com/ -------------------------------------------------------
