Apparently they are still having problems moving from the old, reliable Solaris web server to the new and "improved" server running Win2K. That should be explanation enough for the poor performance and outage. ;-) I'm going to have a little talk with my buddies at Vintagegaming.com to see if we can do something about this. In the meantime, I have uploaded the latest SNES9x and Retrocade releases to Hobbes tonight. There's no reason that Win2K should stand in the way of OS/2 users getting free OS/2 software. ;-) Since this was not previously announced on WarpCast, the Retrocade update to Alpha 6 includes the following changes: * Updated to work with SDD beta 35 * Added joystick support for Vesa J's enhanced joystick driver * Added support for custom video modes - you won't have to add a video mode manually, it will be added on-the-fly as needed The joystick driver and an up-to-date version of SDDHELP.SYS have been included in the archive for your convenience. For the time being, until the web site fiasco is resolved, you can get the latest SNES9x and Retrocade versions from Hobbes: http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/new/snes9x_132_os2_r5.zip http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/new/retro_alpha6.zip They will later be moved to: http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/apps/emulator/snes9x_132_os2_r5.zip http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/apps/emulator/retro_alpha6.zip ------------------------------------------------------- To subscribe, unsubscribe, or for more information on WarpCast, visit: http://www.warpcast.com/ -------------------------------------------------------
