It seems that several official Samba patches between 3.0.32 and 3.0.34 neither made it into the netlabs tree, nor into my own one. Paul Smedley corrected this problem recently, the following build is the result samba-3.0.34-os2-eCS-1-0-0-4-20090315-cs165-swat-dyn.zipChange!, so to say a "true" 3.0.34 build: * Based upon on the official netlabs Samba 3.0.34 tree (changeset 165, which includes fixes to overcome the dreadful Ticket #71 and Ticket #69) * Silvan Scherrer's SWAT patch is integrated (will be the next update to the official netlabs tree) * My fix/enhancement for Ticket #74 is integrated. * Compiled with GCC 3.3.5 (a quasi official build). * linked against Yuri Dario's Unlink Rename Pending Operation (URPO) software library (overcomes Ticket #36) Previous build was the stable and fast samba-3.0.34-os2-ecs-1-0-0-4-20090207.zip: * Both Ticket #71 and Ticket #69 are fixed. As a result of this fix, this is the fastest Samba build ever released for eCS (OS/2). It writes approximately 10 (!) times faster than any previous release. In addition, it should (in theory) also be the most stable build ever. It also works nicely over OpenVPN. * compiled with GCC 3.3.5 (a quasi official build) * based on the official netlabs Samba 3.0.34 tree (changeset 164) * linked against Yuri Dario's Unlink Rename Pending Operation (URPO) software library (overcomes Ticket #36) Note: It is strongly recommended not to use older builds anymore! All Samba builds, both the official ones and mine, use a special version of libc063.dll named libc064x.dll. In case you did not get it with the Samba package, it can be found here libc064x-20080813.zip. libc063.dll and libc064x.dll are not interchangeable, you have to keep both files.
