This is for use only on Legal IBM OS/2 Warp Operating system's as per IBM's standard licencing. *** It maybe wise to unzip in a temp directory to ensure the subdirectories are created, then after a clean boot to the prompt, use "xcopy *.* \/s/e/h/t" from the temp directory that you unzipped the files in. ***** As long as you unzip this in the root directory containing your TCPIP, IBMCOM, and MPTS directories, your files will be upgraded, you can type "inetver" at the prompt after you have rebooted, and it should return "v4.02w", if not, check were you unzipped the v402w.zip file. You must apply this AFTER you have rebooted your system cleanly, ie reboot and press Alt-F1, then select F2 to boot to the command prompt only. This software is meant as a quick means for you to upgrade your TCPIP v4.0 stack and apps instead of manually copying the files to there respective directories after you have rebooted cleanly. It is for use only on Legal IBM OS/2 Warp Operating system as per IBM's standard licencing. This zip file should only be applied after you have applied the MPTS wr08425 incremental fixpack, and before you apply the TCPIP Universal Fixpack UN_0980, or any other updated MPTS, Peer (above IP08412), or TCPIP fixpacks. NOTE: When installing these Fixpacks/Updates, answer "Cancel" to questions about overwriting files that have a more recent date/time, as of this release, only this zip file should be used for overwriting files. If you have problems, I will try to help you, if it stuffs up your TCPIP, sorry, you have been warned, it works fine for me. SO BACKUP the following Directories just in case. \tcpip\bin \tcpip\dll \mptn\bin \mptn\dll \mptn\protocol \ibmcom\protocol This zipfile is y2k ready. Cheers Ian Manners 06 January 2000
