Building Applications for UNIX** Environments
To build Java applications on Solaris with DB2 JDBC support, you need to
install and configure the following on your development machine:
- The Java Development Kit (JDK) Version 1.1 for Solaris from Sun
Microsystems (refer to
http://www.software.ibm.com/data/db2/java).
- The DB2 Client Application Enabler for Solaris from the DB2 Client Pack.
It must be Version 2.1.0 or later.
To run JDBC programs on Solaris, the following environment variables must
be set correctly. You must ensure that:
- CLASSPATH includes "." and the file sqllib/java/db2java.zip
- PATH includes the directory sqllib/bin
- LD_LIBRARY_PATH includes the directory sqllib/lib
