Replication Guide and Reference
Consider the following points before migrating.
- Migration requires DBADM authority for the databases that contain the
Version 1 and Version 5 control tables, and the migration global tables.
- Only one Capture instance per DB2 subsystem/database can exist at a time.
- You must migrate the Capture program to Version 5 before migrating any
associated Apply program processes.
- To use the migration program for Windows 95 or Windows NT, you must create
a password file. See "Providing End-User Authentication at the Source Server" for more information.
- After migrating, you can use the Version 5 Control Center to create new
Version 5 replication sources and subscriptions, but you cannot use the
DataPropagator Relational Control Point for OS/2 to create Version 1
subscriptions.
