Preparing to Install the DB2 Products

Before you install DB2 Universal Database products on UNIX operating systems, it is important to know which products and components you must install and which are optional. "Selecting Products and Components on UNIX Systems" lists these DB2 products and their components. For installation and configuration instructions for DB2 Servers, refer to Chapter 5. "Installing and Configuring DB2". For information on how to install DB2 Clients, refer to Chapter 7. "Installing DB2 Clients".

Selecting Products and Components on UNIX Systems

Table 7 lists the DB2 products components that you can select to install on your system.
