Installing and Configuring DB2 Clients

Creating Links for DB2 Files

If you are developing or running applications, you may want to create links for DB2 libraries to avoid needing to specify the full path to the product libraries and include files. To create these links, use the db2ln command.

This creates links from the DB2 libraries to /usr/lib, and from the DB2 include files to /usr/include.

note

To configure your client to access remote servers, go to Chapter 10. "Configuring Client-to-Server Communications Using the Command Line Processor".
