INITIALIZE TAPE

DB2 for Windows NT supports backup and restore to streaming tape devices. Use this command for tape initialization.

This command is available on Windows NT only.

Command Syntax

>>-INITIALIZE TAPE---+-------------+--+-----------------+------>< +-ON--device--+ +-USING--blksize--+

Command Parameters

ON device: Specifies a valid tape device name. The default value is \\.\TAPE0.
USING blksize: Specifies the block size for the device. The value must be a multiple of 4KB.
