WCNewICE - New Mail Notification via WarpCenter

OS/2 Warp 4's WarpCenter has a feature intended to allow CC:Mail for OS/2 to
notify users of new mail via the WarpCenter.  It is possible for other mailers
to use this feature as well.

The program WCNewICE.exe keeps an eye on the MR/2 ICE inbox and tells
WarpCenter when there is new mail.  An MR/2 ICE program object with the
objectID <CCINBOX> is also needed to activate this feature.


Installation:

(1) Unzip WCNewICE.zip into an empty directory.

(2) Run INSTALL.CMD.  This creates a new MR/2 ICE program object with the
    required object ID, creates a program object for WCNewICE, and puts a
    shadow of WCNewICE in the Startup folder.

(3) If you don't use the default MR/2 ICE mail account, you will want to
    add the /Maccount.CFG option to both of the new program objects.

(4) If you wish, move the new program objects from the Desktop to some other
    folder.

(4) Reboot so WarpCenter will discover the new objects.


Usage:

You will notice a blank icon next to the Assistance Center icon on the right
side of the WarpCenter.  When ICE is running and new mail arrives, the icon
will display an envelope.

Click on the icon to open MR/2 ICE or restore it if it is minimized.
