Configure JDKs dialog box
The Configure JDKs dialog box sets up the JDK versions listed in the Select A JDK dialog box. You use this dialog box to create the list of available JDKs. The JDK versions you define must be installed locally.
To display this dialog box, select Tools|Configure JDKs.
JDK list
Lists the available JDKs in directories, such as User Home
, JBuilder
, Project
, and user-defined folders. These directories vary by JBuilder edition.
New
This is a feature of JBuilder Professional and Enterprise.
Opens the New JDK wizard where you can add a new JDK to the list.
Add Folder
This is a feature of JBuilder Enterprise.
Adds a user-defined folder to the JDK list.
Delete
This is a feature of JBuilder Professional and Enterprise.
Deletes a selected JDK from the list.
JDK Settings
Name
The name of the selected JDK version. Press the ellipsis button to edit the JDK name.
JDK Home Path
The path to the selected JDK's home directory.
To edit the path, choose the ellipsis button to display the Select Directory dialog box.
Class Tab
Displays the path or paths that contain the class files for the specified JDK version. Class files can be zipped into a ZIP or JAR file.
Paths are searched in the order listed. To rearrange the order, use the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
Source Tab
Displays the path or paths that contain the sources for the specified JDK version. Sources can be zipped into a ZIP or JAR file.
Paths are searched in the order listed. To rearrange the order, use the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
Documentation Tab
Displays the path or paths that contain the HTML files for the JDK reference documentation. This allows reference documentation to be displayed in the doc pane. HTML files can be zipped into a ZIP or JAR file.
Paths are searched in the order listed. To rearrange the order, use the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
Add
Displays the Select Directory dialog box where you choose the new Class, Source, or Documentation path.
Edit
Displays the Select Directory dialog box where you edit the selected Class, Source, or Documentation path.
The Edit button is available only when a path is selected.
Remove
Deletes the selected path.
The Remove button is only available when a path is selected.
Move Up
Moves the selected path up in the list. Paths are searched in the order listed.
Move Down
Moves the selected path down in the list. Paths are searched in the order listed.
