Step 3. Removing the Administration Server

You must remove the Administration Server before you remove DB2 products. To remove the Administration Server, you need to perform the following steps:

  1. Log in as root.

  2. Obtain the name of the Administration Server using the following command:
       DB2DIR/bin/db2set -g DB2ADMINSERVER
    

    where DB2DIR = /usr/lpp/db2_05_00 on AIX


    = /opt/IBMdb2/V5.0 on HP-UX or Solaris

  3. Stop the Administration Server. See "Removing the Administration Server" for information on how to stop the Administration Server.
